  Had at a restaurant in Houston. A nice surprise showing lots of depth and class. Translucent medium garnet color. Nose is floral and red and blue fruited with distinct earthiness, herbal notes and a spicy element to it. Reasonable mineral notes as well. Good depth and purity of fruit and flavor. Little wood influence. Really good with a wide range of foods. Elegant and nuanced. Moderately long finish. Nice round texture with good acidity but also a rich texture. It strikes me as a bit of a cross between a Cali Pinot Noir and a Loire Can Franc.

  Pnp. Light-medium translucent crimson-garnet in colour. Nose of ripe red cherries with a touch of herbs and apple peels. On the palate, there are peppery brambly cherry fruit, plums, dark green herbs with a hint of black tea. Light-medium bodied with a medium. This is a pleasant discovery for me.
