Light red colour but not as light as some pinots. Aromas of fruit with a bit of wood and a floral note; violets. Taste of sour red cherries, and strawberries with a rubbery note. Quite acidic with a fairly short finish.

Opened and tried immediately. Very hot taste, bite on the back of the tongue. Color was very nice dark plum. Let sit whist making dinner. The flavor really came out with dinner. I prepared steak and it was an excellent accompaniment. Tried again with slightly salty cheese and really clean, fresh taste. Finished night..and bottle with Dark Chocolate. That pairing didn't work, the tannin really slammed back at you. I would drink this again but will switch out a different wine for dessert or just stop at the cheese.

Pleasant little entry level CA central coast pinot noir enjoyed earlier tonight with Kim with dinner at a meeting of the county medical society. Fairly well balanced, relatively smooth, no sharp edges or off tones, almost scarlet purple, medium bodied and short aftertaste. Surprisingly bright nose of floral tones with underlying white pepper, primary flavors of dark fruit, black pepper and licorice. Reasonable QPR at this price point, can not really recommend this wine however.

Well past the recommended window but still drinkable. A little high on acid but still a good cherry note. Not bad for a bottle thought to be lost.
