  • 10% alcohol, 98,5 g/l residual sugar.

Youthful neon yellow-green color. Floral and quite musky nose with youthful Muscat-like aromas of grapey fruit, perfumed floral tones, a little bit of lemon marmalade, light zesty nuances of orange rind and a hint of ripe pear. The wine is intensely sweet, slightly oily and clean on the palate with a light-to-medium body and balanced flavors of pronounced grapey fruit and honeyed richness, some lemon marmalade tones, a little bit of honeydew melon, light floral notes of orange blossom and a hint of tangerine. The high acidity lends great intensity and sense of structure to the wine. The finish is sweet, clean and mouth-cleansing in its high acidity with a long aftertaste of honey, sweet floral notes of orange blossom, a little bit of lemon curd, light grapey tones, an anise-driven hint of sweet spices and a touch of pear marmalade.

A very balanced, precise and stylish little Auslese from the very youthful and borderline primary end of the spectrum. The overall feel is very Muscat-like, but perhaps with more floral tones and grapey tones and less those spicy and pear-driven fruit nuances. Also perhaps a bit more acidity than I'd expect from a Muscat. Based on its intensity, high acidity and youthful fruit, I can imagine this wine will continue to improve for years more, even if it is drinking quite wonderfully already now. Fun and tasty stuff!
