  • Another excellent bottle of this. The combination of super high acidity and a little RS is making it explode on my palate. Probably not for everyone, but it‘s incredible how much aromatic complexity, precision and depth is possible at only 9.5% alcohol. Love this.

  • Tasted over 3 days. My second time having this and I really love it. It‘s probably not for everyone, as this is a leaner, high acid kind of style of Riesling, especially in this vintage, but the old ungrafted vines give it enough depth to be really fascinating.
Notes of lime, some green apple, there is also some riper yellow fruit, smoke, deep minerality with plenty of wet stone, also some white flowers and herbal notes. There is high bracing acidity creating an almost electrifying energy in this wine. Light-medium body but with excellent persistence. The 14g RS are perfectly tied in and make the wine still seem dry in combination with the high acidity even if it‘s technically not. Long finish. As it sits in the glass and is warming up, it‘s getting even more aromatic but without loosing that lip-smacking, tense character. Beautiful.
