  • Color: medium purple
Nose: so interesting. Like all other phelan farms this starts with a ton of oregano and a very peculiar spice note. There is also a not entirely pleasant funk here. Then after 3 hours of air, you get this pure, immacolate, almost ethereal wild strawberry note which is worth the price of admission on its own frankly
Palate: this is a medium-light body, medium-high acidity wine with medium tannins mainly on the tongue. Probably would take a few years in cellar well; confirms the nose aromatically
    Finish: medium

Natural wines are such a different beast. They have clear issues, but sometimes they surprise you with a note that really hits. This is one of those. Complexity is low, but this becomes quite evocative with a lot of air. Recommend wide decanter for 3 hours, cool room temp
