  • This wine is pale ruby in color, bone dry, acid is low, medium ripe tannins but a bit gripping in the far back cheek, alcohol medium high, finish is medium long and fruity.

On the nose we get a bit of reservation but hoping it opens up a bit, blackberries and plums are forward, a bit of leather and oak, but fairly muddled. A slight hint of Brett but not unpleasant.

On the palate, forward fruits ripe plums and blackberries, French oak, and notes of chocolate and espresso. No noticeable affects of Brett on the palate.

Subjective thoughts, at a similar price point, go for the Beringer Knights Valley Reserve. It's better.
