  This is very fresh and juicy, green apples and melon. Nice and easily drunk.

  Mold on the cork. Soft and spongy, hard to remove without getting cork in the wine. Tried blade opener, but had to go back to the cork screw.
  The wine was not flawed, however.
  Colour light yellow with green tint.
  Not too expressive on the nose. Riesling aromatics, a slight note of petrol perhaps, shy fruit.
  On the palate a light fizz (when tried right out of the bottle), aromatic, nice rounded acidity. Some floral notes and something exotic; passion fruit, maybe a hint of pineapple.

  Druvorna skördades för hand från slutet på september till början på oktober och fick därefter jäsa naturligt på stora och gamla ekfat, sk Stückfass. Efter avslutad jäsning vilade vinet på sin jästfällning i ca 5 månader på samma fat och det enda som tillförts vinet är en minimal andel svavel före buteljeringen.
  
  VINGÅRD: Westhofen AULERDE – Det aktuella vinet kommer från en del av vingården Aulerde där rankorna håller en ålder på 25 till 30 år.
