The Ruchè and Freisa seem dominant at the moment, in this young, refreshing 2020 Namaste. Vivid and playful, it shows bright cherry, juicy red currant and a hint of red pepper, within vibrancy, gentle acids and a fruity core.

During a Barolo/Piedmote tasting lunch, not blind. Easy going wine, a blend of several local grapes, lots of red fruit, primary. If blinded I could have gone with something like a fruit forward Languedoc-Roussillon from my tasing repository

Super pure red fruit, later also some dark fruit, some tar, leather/animalic notes, also some flowers and spice, all very subtle and pure. It‘s medium- bodied, with nice freshness and just a touch of tannin. Lovely wine that is beautifully pure. Very fascinating to see all different grapes coming through. (Even with it’s rather simple, easy-to-drink character, it would deserve an extra 2-3 points for deliciousness). I love it and love the story too.

The usual blend of Nebbiolo, Barbera, Dolcetto, Freisa and Ruchè. The Nebbiolo and and Ruchè are dominant at the moment, when it comes to the color and rosey seduction, especially on the nose. There is a good power and energy to the 2020, which goes perfectly with the floral infused red berry blast. Refreshing and very seductive.

(Blind verkostet) Helles Granatrot. Offene Nase, Kräuterwürze, Pflaumen, Walderbeeren, welke Rosen. Im Gaumen elegant, frisch, feinwürzig, mittlerer Körper, süffig, balanciert. Mittlere Länge, etwas hitziges Finish. Ein harmonischer Piemonteser.
