This is the Piocho red bordeaux blend. We found it exceptionally smooth. Nose had a mild aroma of fruit. First flavor noticed on sipping was currant, but very light. Wine opened up with mild tannins and richer aromas of earth. We drank before and during dinner. As a straight sipping wine it was outstanding. Dinner was steaks cooked on the grill with a spicy paprika-led spice rub. We enjoyed the wine. I think it wasn't quite robust enough at current age to complement the steak, but it's a favorite of ours from Happy Canyon
