PnP, drank over Mrs. Chugwine's 37th birthday dinner, next to a 1998 La Grande Dame and 2008 Vintage Salmon. Got to see the wine develop over about 7 hours. Strawberries and watermelon all over the nose, not a lot of acidity on the palette, somewhat flat. Good mousse, which helped overcome the lack of body. Not overly yeasty which I do enjoy, felt ready to go, even considering the recent disgorgement, Summer 2022. Not worth the $200 I spent on it. Would definitely buy at a $80 all day long
Drank this on my birthday at Arethusa al Tavol in Bantam CT (where)? Google it. My wife loves Rose and this sparkling wine goes with everything, including oysters and duck. A really deep raspberry color that set the tome for red fruits. This really is a special bottle, and only $77 from the winery. If you didn't know any better, you might say Grower Champagne if drinking blind. Wish I had more. Good thing I have other 2017 and 2018's. Now I'm going to look for my allocation e-mail. FYI, this restaurant was featured on CBS Saturday morning in late December. The segment is online and a worthy visit for any foodie. Two hours from NYC and 90 minutes from thee northern suburbs. Corkage was $35. Food and service were impeccable.

This was shockingly bitter and off putting, delivering a bouquet I’ve never experienced in any sparkling wine. I’ve had just one other bottle of this cuvée (but not this vintage) and don’t recall anything like this, so I’ll just chalk this up to a flawed bottle.
strawberry and earth on the nose; a slight balsamic note; textured, nutty, and toasty; crisp and clean mouth feel; good acidity; almost orange pith finish; delicious!
