Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 87 points

  • Overwhelmingly oaky after opening. Rum, sweet spices, nutmeg at the forefront, hiding everything else. Airing helps a bit but I'm afraid it will always be an oak monster. Full-bodied, lush, finishes hot. Tannins are quite firm but ripe and of good quality. It's a big, rich wine, trying hard, a bit overdone, lacking elegance. Still raw. Wait a few more years. 87 points for now.
