A good example of Petite Sirah, inky dark, teeth staining, tongue staining, glass staining, relatively speaking mild tannins. Wish it were unfiltered, there's no sediment, but I'm nit picking.

The most inky purple I’ve ever seen in wine. It looks like beet juice. Tons of staining on the glass.
Oak dominant nose with aromas of vanilla, brown butter, stewed black and blue fruit, and a faint hint of pepper.
Tannins are present but not overpowering likely due to the 20 months in oak. Acid is moderate. Body is big and weighty. Alcohol is pronounced. It’s not a bad wine but it feels a bit clumsy and out of balance.

Nose of black cherry, black berry, blue berry, allspice, smoke, saddle leather, and roasted coffee grounds, same on the palate, big body, mouth filling fruit, fruit forward, tasty, needs 4 years to peak, small amount of soft tannins on the mid palate, long, long finish, and lovely aftertaste.

Dark, almost purple in color. Strong blue fruit flavors, softer tannis, very good.
