Tasted very generally “expensive” but lacked the complexity to fill in all that structure and profile. Certainly felt well-built, but more like a wonderful frame around a blank canvas. While the structure is commendable, the soul of the wine—its nuanced flavors and secondary notes—was missing.
We all agreed that in the grand scheme of things it's a good bottle, but we had an inkling that maybe the fact this TKVC was built out by Constellation was behind it feeling typically expensive but ordinary.

I can see why this got 100 points from James Suckling! Dark purple color, thick and rich intense red and black fruit flavors. Smooth and flavorful, this was fabulous even as a pop and pour.

One hour decant. Opaque purple magenta color. Blueberry, blackberry, plum, French toast, and Indian spice. Smooth, dry palate. Firm tannins on the longish finish.
This needs time, but it’s already good. Lots of room to grow in the coming few years.

Spring Break in Napa -- Who Needs Cancun?; 3/22/2024-4/27/2024 (Oakville, St. Helena, Calistoga): I went in expecting great things here and struggled a lot with the results. It just doesn’t have the power or complexity to bring it home. It’s got a lot of structure but just doesn’t have the secondary notes to back it up, a very one-note wine.

This was excellent again, but it got beat out by the 2021 Myriad Rarefied Air that we had first.
