Deep opaque dark red color. Spicy, dark cherry liqueur-like aroma. Viscous, rich texture, and a little heat, Garrigue spices and ripe concentrated dark fruits flavor. Thick legs ooze down the side of the glass. A monster wine, it’s young and tannic, needing an additional 3 years of cellaring of age. Excellent potential. 50% Syrah/ 50% Grenache. Decanted for an hour before serving.

3 Winos and a Providore Trade tasting (The four seasons hotel, the rocks, sydney): funky savoury, almost whole bunch notes, red berries, very slightly ashy note in the mouth, savoury red berries, talc textured tannins. Hmm.
