Spectacular delicious wine food pairing with beef bourguignon enhancing both for one of the best Affinity's I've had ever! Dark garnet colored, medium bodied, well-balanced, full round rich intense flavors of black currant and black cherry fruits with notes of cinnamon spice, sweet cassis, toasty oak, graphite, and hints of cedar. https://unwindwine.blogspot.com/2023/11/robert-craig-affinity-and-beef.html
At eighteen years the fill level was ideal as was the foil, the label was slightly torn, and most importantly, the cork was slightly saturated and a bit soft from some past seepage, but still intact.

Drank my last bottle of this last night. It was very good, but this wine is definitely maxed out in terms of getting any better. The fruit was smooth and neutral. There was a bit of a "burnt" quality for me (even after glasses). Raisin and Tabacco notes. Smooth and lush.

The wine was delicious. Soft nose with rich aromas of chocolate, cassis, and leather. Smooth, rich texture with a long soft finish. The wine looks crimson colored. The legs are slow. There is no sediment in the bottle.

I've had quite a few bottles of this wine and the 2005 in 2014 was by far the best I've ever had. This bottle compared to much superior wines and easily held its own.

Black fruit through and through. The last bottle, much better than the previous bottle.
