  • Nose/Floral - smells like a Turkey pick. Spice almond and cinnamon
Sweet - more of a creamy butterscotch candy note than most Turkey. Toffee and chocolate
    Nutty - mild almond
Spicy - very very mild cinnamon for Turkey. Nutmeg
Earthy - has a touch of salinity, and almost pickle/brine notes that are interesting on both the palate and nose.
    Smoky - no
Woody - mild more well integrated Cedar than some CNA picks but clearly still Camp Nelson.
    Fruit - less
    Color - light copper
Palate - tastes like a Turkey pick.
Finish - it is persistent, nice mild exit, hangs with your for a while
Value - sample pour…but terrible. Bad at MSRP and atrocious at secondary. This thing is $400? You kidding me? Taters gonna tate, but clearly being unique is what is driving this. It’s qualitative on par maybe a touch above a good RR pick and should be priced accordingly. It’s no RR13
Overall - underwhelmed. And I’m a Turkey whore. It’s unique and interesting with some notes I don’t typically get in RR picks, but I’m not sure it’s really a stunner and anything I’d consider special or premium. Delicious by any standard, just don’t see the hype.
