  • Nose of musky black cherry, raspberry and a hint of cassis mark the nose, showing some slight gamey nuances but otherwise quite primary. Great body and weight with formable tannin but not obtrusive. Touch of sauvage on the midpalate that adds interest and depth. Notable quality at this level. Still young.

  • Similar to earlier notes. Just okay. Even at this price point, probably won't buy again.

  • I tend to shy away from burgundy because it is so expensive, but I took a chance on this offering from Wine Express. I like this better than most of the U.S. pinot noir in this price range. The nose is nothing special, although it has a pleasant blend of cherries and raspberries. On the tongue it is feminine and soft, lacking pizzazz but not necessarily in a bad way. Very enjoyable, but you won't wow your friends.
