Deep crimson, with minimal bricking. Cherry, cedar, phenol nose. PNP because concerned about age. First sip was a bit tight, but this opened up well for the next hour. What a difference 11 years has made since the last bottle. Camphor, tobacco, currants, some cherry and fresh sawn wood. A hint of mineral ITG, but this is still a fruit-driven wine. It’s probably towards the end of peak, but I would guess it can last for at least 5 years from here. So glad that this was “lost” in the cellar for so many years.

slow ox'd for about an hour and then served with grilled sirloin. This bottle didn't have much life left. Certainly still drinkable, and at times enjoyable, but I wish we'd had this a few years ago.

A very good wine but it was past its preferred drinking window. Sad to see the last bottle of Cain Concept go....
