Amarone group tasting (Rochester, Minnesota): The youngest and last in the flight. Muted nose, with some oak aromas. Intense, sweet, and broad, with some fat on the palate. Exquisite balance of fruits and velvety tannins- almost Burgundian, but perhaps a touch sweet, but not at all jammy. Profound finish that lasted minutes!. Fantastic wine and certainly my wine of the flight by a long shot. I have no idea about the development of these wines, but this is one to watch. I'd like to retaste this in a few years.
