Deep ruby with nose of cherry and spicy. On palate, there is strong (oak?) Spicy note with equally concentrated strawberry fruit. Some sweetness while acidity is mild this perhaps suggest it could be ready earlier than the vintage normally commands. Tannin only marginally grippy and easy drink now.

Impromptu Columbus, Ohio WineBerserkers Offline (German Village, Columbus, Ohio): One of the red WOTNs for me. Weight on the palate and finish were remarkable. Like the Clos Vougeot, ripping tannins that will need time. Light roasting coffee, warming spice, forest floor. Pomegranate molasses, and other dark red fruit notes.

Inaugural Columbus Ohio WineBerserkers Offline (Nick C's House): Clearly quite young, this was very muted when first tasted, but when re-tasted at the end of the night it had opened up quite a bit showing earth, rubber and bramble on the nose, medium-full bodied with flavors of raspberries. Let this sit a while.
