I worked at Chimney Rock for many years. I was always proud to represent the wines to the public. However, when I told buyers that the wines would last for seven to ten years, I had no idea if that was going to be true or just a sales line. Now I have the opportunity to find out for myself. DAMN I underestimated the longevity and beauty of these wines. I am more proud than ever to have been a part of that organization.

Hard to believe it's a 2005. Very youthful, primary even, without a hint of bricking. Rich & concentrated, without being syrupy. Gobs of sweet black cherry, which I don't normally associate with cab. The tannins are silky smooth but weighty enough to add depth to this easy drinking treat. My only real complaint is that it lacked complexity& didn't evolve much. Still enjoyable though.

Outstanding wine! Rich and luscious with notes of black cherry, cassis, dark chocolate and white pepper. Great balance with a lovely palate cleansing finish.

Similar to their other offerings but very extracted and young, I don't have many from Cardiac Hill that aren't Syrah's. Very nice.
