Needs time of course. Drank too early after having at K&L tasting. If you’re going to open I would recommend AT LEAST 90 minutes in a wide base decanter.

2021 Burgundies: Côte de Nuits reds and Côte de Beaune whites: dark ruby core with magenta rim and medium-plus body. somewhat delicate but defined nose of black cherry, cranberry, rose and violet petals, spice and sous-bois. mouth-filling if quite tight at the moment, the mineral and soil notes dominate the palate, opening some space here and there for the black fruit to emerge buoyed by notable acidity. the tell-tale Vosne spice also emerges and carries thru to a long finish that hints at what the wine may have in store.
good example of village level Vosne-Romanée that will likely need the better part of this decade to uncoil. upside potential here.
20% whole clusters; sixteen months ageing in oak barrels (20% new).

La Paulée de Los Angeles Grand Tasting (The Fairmont - Santa Monica CA): Walkaround tasting. Bright red fruits throughout, faintly spiced. Light style showcases the strength of this lighter vintage with its elegance and fun. Very pretty now.

Polished, spicy, red and blue fruit, lightly bitter tannins and on the thin side. 91
