Was expecting it to be over the hill...NOT. Nice citrusy nose, light golden color, and very tame and balanced acidity...drank with aged Gouda...toasted citrus and vanilla finish. I can't believe there are still 93 bottles in our collective cellars as I write this...drink up people.

I found this wine at Grocery Outlet for $3.99 a bottle. I immediately brought a case, I was not diapointed. The color of this wine is golden, the wine is very oilly with pinnapple and grassy flavors. This wine is fresh and has aged well. There's a little bit of acid and heat that noticable at room temperature, but goes away with a little chilling and the right food pairing.

Full and oaky, but with bright pineapple citrus note up front and syrupy peaches on the finish. It's lost a little its acidity which makes the oak a little much, but those who like this full rounded style should be pleased.

This Sauv Blanc went beautifully with a strong port cheese - its nose was honeysuckle and macintosh apple - somewhat of a tart ending (expected with most sauv blancs) yet smooth with the strong cheese.
