  • color: dark purple
nose: Plum, black fruits, spice and hints of wet dog and fruitcake breadiness.
Just out of the bottle this is rough and rugged. Fruit with rough woody tannins. The wine softens and opens up nicely with time. Even better on day 2 with cedarbox and chocolate covered candied cherry emerging on the nose, but still some nice earhtiness.

  • Alcohol: 14.5%
    Cork Type: Synthetic
Nose/Bouquet: nice chocolate aroma with coffee, vanilla and butterscotch in the background
Flavor/Palate: Dry dandelion salad and plum with a hint of fruit flavor. A complex body that is full
    Finish: soft generous long
Color: Garnet Red with a purple tinge
    Chill Factor: 60 F
    Decanter/Breathing time: 60 minutes
Potential: Could Cellar until 2012, but drinkable right away.
Food: Good before, during and after dinner. We drank it with Italian Pasta. Recommend drinking this wine with a meal.
Overall Opinion: This is a Good Carmenère. Although we let it breathe for an hour, we could still taste the 14.5% alcohol. Not that we minded, but we would have ranked this higher. A total wine workout that causes perspiration.
