  • Carafé une heure. L’air aide mais ça demeure un Beaujolais concentré, tannique, qui ne se révèle jamais complètement. Contente de l’avoir essayé car je l’attendrais quelques années: le potentiel est là mais c’est sérieux.

  • 13.5% vol
0.24ha plot of 75-year-old vines, located below the hill of the mill, composed of blue granite towards the top, and alluvium/pink sand at the bottom. Southeast exposure.
    900 bottles produced
    Hand harvested
    15-25% whole clusters
    500L barrels

Youthful deep ruby appearance, some purple

Cool and fresh nose, very granite-like and pure. Clean dark fruits and flowers, notes of black raspberry, blackberry, cherry stones and pressed flowers. Sense of firmness, not a delicate and pretty Fleurie!

Medium+ bodied, firm and structured on the attack, with high levels of acidity and spice giving a tantalising quality. Tense and taut, some chalk (a little iron too), continue a structured feel. Clean and nicely defined, with a stony and steely vein. Feels serious and age-worthy, and the cool and dark character prevails.
