Gatinarra is a small in piedmont and has lots dried flowers , very ripe plums, Full bodied , chewy tannins and long, rich finish. Very well structured and well balance.

Well balance and complexity and refine and has a good struture. The grapes nebbiolo the same has barolo . It notes of rose, cherry mint berry and not of oak.

3 liter (big version of the funky Travaglini bottle). Good acids for ‘03, light tannin, red cherry and raspberry with some lemon zest. I double decanted at home (multiple decanters), but it opened up in bottle at party, revisited at dessert time it had some Piedmont tar I didn’t notice before. Not a ringer for Barolo, but fun. B+/B

Medium dense, translucent ruby red, tart bouquet of leather and wood notes. Soft with medium-strong tannins with pleasant tingling acidity and long finish. Exceptional and complex wine. Should be at its peak but will keep for a few more years.

Typical brick red-orange, still good clarity in the glass. Deep forest aromas, earthy, with nice cedar and rosewood. Still great acidity, and really showing well, after an hour open. This held up amazingly well. Could easily drink for 3-5 more years.

(Travaglini Gattinara) #3; VaynerPAZZZ; COLOR-rusty brown on the edges; NOSE-I get a stew/soup component; pencil shavings; kind of tight; some Asian spice; beef jerky/meat & potatoes; TASTE-pretty thin and light; little disjointed; there's some nice plum on the back-end and a shot of cherry ice pop; a little awkward, I get little apricot on the back-end as well; a medium bodied wine that doesn't flesh out for me; a little one dimensional for me; very dry on your palate; there are some nice things, but I'm not liking this wine very much; WS-91; GV-80
