Still nice! New Year's Eve gamble - everyone who tasted it liked it. Pale gold with tiny bubbles: Very bubbly, not flat at all or 'tainted' as an earlier reviewer reported. Nose is yeasty, green apple, pear. Not much more but stayed effervescent for 24 hours, topped with pressured capper. Well worth the wait. Might have been better a few years earlier, but again, who cares - very enjoyable esp at this age!! Storing it properly upright in temp controlled cellar may have added to longevity.

North Shore Getaway; 9/15/2011-9/17/2011 (North Shore, MN): Pale gold color with largish bubbles. Cork was similar to notes from seacub, narrow and slightly off consistency, but no sign of taint. Nose is yeasty, creme brule, green apple, pear. The palate was consistent, decent finish. Not nearly as compelling bottles several years ago, but still quite nice. This is probably on the downhill and I would not hold any longer.

Cork looked strange on opening (dark and mottled), and didn't expand as I'm used to. Wine is mostly flat and tastes of vinegar. Argh! :(
