I had not had a ROAR from this vineyard for an extended period, but in recent notes I have commented how this vineyard has emerged as one of my favorites in the ROAR portfolio. This did not disappoint with dense, darker fruit counterbalanced by a great level of acidity. A bit brawny and full of dark cherry, black plum and red berry notes. The ROAR wines always showcase the Terroir in their wines and this is no exception. As others commented, this certainly has the stuffing to lay down for an extended period, as the structure is there. However, no regrets on my part for popping this open on the early side.

This medium-to-deep ruby wine offers an intense aromatic package of dark bramble fruits, blueberries, morello cherries, licorice, black pepper and savory herbs. Medium-bodied, freshly acidic and with well-restrained alcohol (despite being listed as 14.7%), it delivers flavors in line with the aromas, adding notes of clove and cocoa. There is a substantial aliquot of oak that has not yet fully integrated, which is also the case for the plentiful powdery tannins. Dense on the mid-palate and impressively long on the back end, this is a terrific Pinot that deserves some cellar time. If you can't resist popping the cork at this early stage, give it an hour or two of air. Drink 2025-2033.

Beautiful and bold. Give it at least a year, 3 would be better. Very tight. Pepper, spice. Firm tannins. This could probably hold for a decade.
