purplish dark ruby and with medium body. a bit of cinnamon and allspice dance around the red berry fruit notes. fresh, dry, and structured in the mouth, pepper and earthy notes run through (and perhaps over) the raspberry and cherry fruit. medium persistence with a bit of dryness.
not particularly thrilling at the moment… and not sure whether more time will be its friend.
14.4% AbV; blend of 65% Grenache/ 18% Syrah/ 15% Cinsault/ 2% Petite Sirah; Grenache and Cinsault were co-fermented.

Everything is in good balance here, with a light raspberry, peppery and just ever so slightly smokey note. High acidity and a sharp, refined palate that is much more restrained than the CnDP homage I thought it would be. A very correct wine.

Solid offering again from Rhone Ranger Bonny Doon. Plenty of bright raspberry fruit as well as some red cherry. And nice acidic backbone to keep it vibrant. Excellent with a variety of food. And it was actually much more fun after 48 hours open with the fruit being well lifted up by the soft tannin.

Needs some air to mellow out the though tannins. Quite powerful with lots of dark berries and spices such as white pepper. Somewhat one dimensional and not that complex. Ma nice wine that a will drink again.
