Gaucho Wine Club - Italy, Spain and Portugal (Gaucho Tower Bridge, London): Deep ruby appearance with a purple rim. Vanilla and smoke on the nose. "Smoky bacon". Hints of red plums and cherry fruits. Palate is less intense. Prunes, bacon, pepper and vanilla oak. Medium acidity levels. The oak dominates the finish. Still some improvement.

Opaque ruby/purple. Ripe blueberry with custard cream and a hint of aniseed and pencil shavings on the nose. Dense, fruity palate with powerful, oak tannins emerging mid-palate. Slightly drying on the finish. Drinking now or over the next four years.

Ripe, dark fruit inflected, with chocolate notes and grippy tannins. Probably at peak or starting decline.
