WSET2 Course Notes; 10/22/2023-11/5/2023 (WineHouse, Los Angeles): Appearance: Mousse on the rim. Nose: Orange blossom and honeysuckle. Unripe tropical fruit like mango. Palate: sweet. A little acacia honey, lemon, some vegetal character, too. Maybe mango peel? 8/18. I love Moscato :)

Warm vintage, dry summer, stressed vine. But the heat hits at the beginning of the growing season so that the vine can adapt along the season. The wine is fresh and juicy, lychee, grapy, opulent but still good acidity. Some sappy, characters at the end of the finish. Well balanced.

Piemonte: Truffles instead of Turkey; 11/23/2023-12/2/2023 (Barolo, Barbaresco, Alto Piemonte and of course Alba): After many days of skipping the moscato (or there being no moscato) it was nice to find one on the list. Wonderful way to end a big day of eating and drinking. 5.5% alcohol. Quite light and easy.

The perfect wine for a hot summer day.
Very fine bubbles. Nose was effervescent, showing bright sweet fruit.
Palate is light, sweet and surprisingly complex.
Finishes clean.
This was rated a 95. I can't imagine a wine like this getting better though. Very well done.
Would buy again
