  • Ontario Melon! Is Malivoire the only producer who grows this varietal? You'd think the Ontario climate would be suited to it.

Very pale yellow colour. Nose is quite austere, with heavy rubber/band-aid, seashell, saline, lemon pith, and a touch of ripe pear. Palate is zesty and savoury, with the rubber note coming through again, with the light body you'd expect from this variety.

Nice wine with food but the band-aid flavour is quite distracting. This spent 18 months on the lees, but unclear if all that time added a lot of complexity. Overall not a bad effort, but wonder if this will stay a "demo"!
