Community Tasting Notes (1) Avg Score: 85 points

  • Deep ruby, purple colour, opaque, with a medium translucent rim.

On the nose, it is quite dominated by the green pepper notes, integrated with some oak. Peppery notes along with red and black fruity notes in the background - blackberries, cherries, plums. There are also hints of smoke, tobacco, and coffee.

On the palate, it is quite acidic - medium plus, and medium tannins. Similar to the nose, it is quite dominated by the green pepper. This is also quite a jammy wine with the black fruits coming forward as well. The oak is decently integrated and finishes with a smoky, peppery note.

The finish is rather short unfortunately. While jammy, the green pepper unfortunately overtakes the palate quite a bit. Overall, while decent, this wine finishes slightly short and is a bit one dimensional.
