  • Popped and poured. Looks enticing, dark in color with good viscosity. Nice berry fruit in both nose and mouth. Very pretty actually. This would go great with any pasta with red sauce. Or a pizza. And the price is right. 5-12-15-8: 90/100.

  • Nice old world nose with dried herbs and flowers, stone, earth, light funk, dark berry fruit, slight animal hide. Round, rich, with singing tannins in the mouth. Cocoa and mineral throughout palate. Dry yet mouthwatering finish that fades brightly without ever feeling acidic. Nice overall balance, but in a rustic, not elegant way. Worth a repurchase.

  • Nose of fine leather and winery barrel room. At first, got some red berry fruit, but with our meal, got more bitter cocoa, and hints of cherry cola. Finished dry, but did not strip the enamel off my teeth. The acidity was tame, but not flabby. Medium and enjoyable dry finish. As long as I can find this wine, I’ll always have one in my cellar. Drank alongside a basic pasta dinner, and is nothing fancy. I would take this bottle to a friend’s house for a party, as long as this style is appropriate for the occasion.
