  • Really nice lunch with steak, baked Brie and olive bread. Get some black olive on the palate and then have a sip and you’ll understand what it means when a wine tastes like olives and wild herbs (garigue). 4 years bottle age and this is drinking beautifully, way better than I remember from about a year ago. Could just be the weather. Anyways this is textbook, perfect Côtes du Rhône. Med bodied and fresh, no oakiness but a nice smoky meaty umami quality. When they say that a good Côtes du Rhône is a declassified CDNP this is what they’re talking about. Yummmm
