Tasted a bunch of backside reds one night, including the NV8, NV9 and NV0. The 9 was by far the best, with the 0 and the 8 both being heavy in sediment and more tannin's than I thought possible. Lesson learned ... don't let a good value red sit!

Just got around to drinking this - should have opened it way sooner. Definitely past it's prime - very soft with no good bite or sparkle to it. I can tell it had potential though. Oh well.

The wine needed some time decanting and warming up to drinking temp. The analysis of time to drink is accurate and if kept any longer, the wine would go downhill. Still decent with plum and leather aroma.

I was worried with this it seemed to fade somewhat bottle as it has been in the cellar for 10 years. It had immediate fruit. As it sat in the decanter it mellowed but remained very flavorful. Hints of cedar with cassis. A very slight hint of caramel. I would drink soon if you have in your cellar.
