Light orange red in color. 13.3% ABV. Pretty nose of tart red fruits, citrus and earth. Light body with nice acidity. Delicate and ethereal. Cranberry, cherry, blood orange and minerals on the palate. The finish is long and spicy. Previous vintages of this wine presented were more akin to a Gamay but I would have guessed Rosé here had I been tasting blind. With that being the case I'd save bottles until a warm Summer night next year.

Similar to the first bottle, but the aromatics on this one were WOOO-HA! Like sticking your nose into a bowl of ripe fruit salad, adorned with wild flowers. A mouth full of crunchy, bright, dark red fruits. DeeeLish! A couple less points because the complexity wasn’t there.

This is such an interesting wine, particularly on the bouquet where, dare I say, it's delicate and very pretty. That all turns more brutish on the palate, but it's all enveloped in a easy, medium weight (easy to quaff) curiosity of an amalgam of CA sunshine -- something Mission-like, Zin-like and Pinot-like all squashed into one. It certainly kept my interest. I wish there was more of this varietal to try in the realm. If so, I bet Sanlands' version is a benchmark.

Nose-lemongrass, apple, watermelon jolly rancher. Palate—texture—reminiscent of rose typicity but more serious, low+ tannins. M acidity that is refreshing. Strawberry, raspberry, lime, tangerine, blueberry, fennel on palate. Finish is pretty short. Drinking really well, great antidote to a hot day. Easy rebuy.
