Nicely balanced mild to bright fruit Pinot. Acidity catches you by surprise at first, but very nice over a 2 hour window. Maybe not the best value given price point.

This pinot is light, balanced and smooth, low acidity. Mild fuit notes. Extremely drinkable on a hot day and has a great finish. This a nice glass of pinot and any wine drinker who didn't actually pay for it would be happy to spend a dinner downing several bottles of it. It is not complex but somehow super tasty. Over priced at $61 of course.

I like the previous Northern Spy Pinot noir vintages, but just cannot get around this one. The first sip, you can taste the vanilla and oak, what the hell! Fruit is there, but not enough complexity. Medium acidity. Very boring. This is more like a $30 kind of Pinot noir. Not bad at $30, but very bad at the price they are charging.
"The 2021 vintage of northern spy vineyard pinot noir comes alive from the very first swirl of the glass with vibrant aromas of orange peel and oolong tea on the nose. The palate is layered with a structured base of forest floor and umami flavors with delicate notes of Asian plum on the finish" --EnRoute Wine Club insert
