  • Better than the last bottle, but still say this would have been better 5 years ago. To each their own.

  • This is beautifully aged White Burgundy in the perfect spot, that is, if you like aged white Burgundy. Prior reviewers noted that this wine is on the decline, which I totally disagree with. If you are looking for a younger wine full of fruits and flowers, then yes, it is on the decline. But if that's what you're looking for, why are you drinking 23 year old village level white Burgundy?!

Everything is just as it ought to be in this wine. The color is a lovely deep gold- no browning at all. The flavors are likewise perfectly age appropriate; a bit oxidized, nutty, caramel, a touch dusty (in a good way), round, incredibly complex, and well integrated. Stewed apples and pears with cinnamon linger in the background. There is not even the slightest hint of any off-flavors or unpleasantness. A beauty!

  • Agree with most recent note...fair amount of oxidation, golden color, some nice petroleum and oil on the nose but fruit is far in the background. Drink up

  • Wish I had the opportunity to drink this 5 years ago. Right now, it’s definitely on the downside. Surprised the cork came out in 1 piece. Definitely seeing a fair amount of oxidation. Deep golden color; lots of toasted caramel on the nose. Negligible fruit. Nuts and some baking spice flavors. Surprising acidity on the finish.
