Maybe not living up to the cult hype just yet. A decent enough Bourgogne. Nose is the worst part — flat with some reduction. Good body, some light fruit on the palate. Great acidity. But a warm syrup backbone that I’m not sure will resolve. Overall fun and okay to drink now. Hopefully some evolution the next couple years.

Fantastic QPR. Medium ruby color, almost Nebbiolo-like translucency. Beautiful med+ aromatics of cranberry, pomegranate, blood orange, candied cherry, sweet lavender, with a hint of carbonic bubble gum + cinnamon. Slightly higher than expected acid helped to lift the palate; almost out of balance but evened out by the crunchy fruit profile & supple tannin. Great mouthfeel & strong mid-palate without feeling flabby.
The terroir really shines through in this wine. 32% of fruit is from limestone soil in Puligny-Montrachet, the remaining 68% is from granite soil in the Hautes Côtes by Maranges. Very well made wine.
