  The white wines of Ampelos do not usually reflect the talents of the vineyard or the winemaker. This Viognier is an exception to that experience. No banana on the nose or palate, and that’s a good thing. Abundant tangerine, apricot, white peach, coconut and white pepper on the nose and palate. While not a complex wine, this is a well-made wine. 305 cases made. 13.9% alc. With Marseille shrimp stew, a nice pairing. 09.21.23. Recommended with Reservations.
