The tannins were kicking like a mule, even after an hour decant. This bottle needs either five more years, even then it may need longer.

Rich and fruit forward variety. Aromatics of plum and some sulphuric "fresh asphalt". In mouth it is viscous and not perfectly balanced as fruits overwhelm tannins producing a sweetish mouth taste. Despite the imperfection it is rich and mainly a rewarding wine for the price.

Inky dark. Started with intense black currant fruit, but with time red currant and plum show up. There is underbrush/sage, with tinges of leather and tobacco. Vanilla from oak finishes the wine. This wine is polished. Very impressive. They said wineries that made wine in 2020 (most did not because of the wildfires), made fantastic wine. This is an example.
