  • Opened this last night at Yang Ming Seafood (Ubi) over dinner with an ex-colleague. We had thai fried bee hoon, nonya squid, prawn paste chicken and stir fried long beans.

Purplish red in colour. Notes of fresh berries, dark spices, meat and dried herbs with some tobacco notes. Good energy and intensity. Some rough edges on the side, but nevertheless a polished wine on the whole. Tight, with great length. Made in a modern style.

Based on what I learnt, this is a wine made from plots traditionally reserved by the winemakers for their consumption. Do give this bottle a try if you manage to come across one.
