  The bottle was fine. Varietally correct, but perhaps a little thinner than expected. A tad bit of bitterness like biting into a lemon. Not as much depth & character as expected. A good not a great Chenin Blanc. Paired reasonably well with king crab legs, but fell a tad short of standing up to the crab-a bit more acidity would have helped.
  Bought at winery, glad we tried it, but would not repurchase.
  The wine just fell a bit short.

  This one has many classic Chenin markers. Bruised apple /apple orchard, white flowers, and some wet wool on the nose. The acidity is not as high as I expect with Chenin, but medium ++ for sure. The palate is clean, focused and the finish is long. Well-done, Hartford!
