Vin Fraiche x Somm Guild ATL event (Atlanta, GA): Tasted at Vin Fraiche x Somm Guild of ATL event @ Antica Posta in Buckhead. We had both the '19 and '20 vintages of this. I brought the '19 and gave it a quick DD before heading to the restaurant (no sediment). Both were paired with Tuscan style wild boar ragu and pappardelle pasta. The food pairing was fantastic with both wines! The '19 is a Sangiovese/CabSav/Petit Verdot blend and the '20 is a Sangiovese/CabSav blend (weather in '20 caused the the petit verdot to be lost and it should reappear in the next vintage). The '19 was more open than the '20 (The '20 was PNP) and this was reflected on both the nose (TOTALLY different between the two with the '19 being much more expressive). The '20 was a bit more tannic and needed the food. The '19 is one of my favorite weeknight quaffers (with or without food!) and I'm going to let my '20s get a few more years of age before I start popping those. However, both showed well that evening and I scored them the same! Brad - heavypourwine.com

Vin Fraiche "Boutique Wine Tasting" at Capital Grille (Dunwoody, GA): Tasted at Vin Fraiche event @ Capital Grill in Dunwoody, GA. No formal notes, just scores. Paired with lamb lollypops. I have a bunch of the 2019 in my cellar and have tasted a lot of the 2019 recently. So, getting to taste the latest vintage was an unexpected treat. This vintage is a bit more tannic than the 2020 but more structured (they did not include any petit verdot in the '20). This paired very well with the lamb that was served and with a couple of years of age this will evolve nicely. My 2nd favorite wine of the evening. It was the WOTN of others in our group.
