Regular dinner group (@ MH): Bizarre bouquet. Smells like apple cider. Same on the palate and a much too old impression. This must be a faulty bottle, so no score.

Drinking very nicely now - dark amber in the glass, good viscosity, acidity, alcohol and fruit balance. Vgood complexity and finish - opens quickly - great with Salmon!

German and Austrian Wines with Ewald Moseler (Renaissance Premium Wines and Cigars, Orenco Station, Oregon): Spicy nose with some surprising BBQ scents and a hint of botrytis style sweetness. The wine is very delicate on the palate with light flavors of spice and a richness that reminds me of higher pradikat level rieslings appears late on the finish. There are some great peach flavors that bloom on the mid palate as well. This wine shows very well at room temp. Interesting and enjoyable.

Very Chenin Blanc like. Touch of wooly-ness and nice sweetness that compliments instead of intruding. Missing some acidity for my tastes but nice.
