Though theoretically past its drinkability prime, this was still quite a good bottle of wine. A rich fruity nose, deep black cherry color, mellow notes of dark stone fruit and blackberries. Smooth finish.

Textbook elegant Stags Leap cab with fresh and bright red fruits of pomegranate, raspberry, and red currants. Nice streak of backing spices, cloves, and limestone minerality provided a nice grip on the finish. An excellent bottle from an obscure, no longer existent vineyard.

Pop and pour. Aroma of red fruit and cedar. Palate was dominated by a strong wooded taste that was neither cedar or oak. Fruit was in the background. I believe this needs a few years or a good decant.
