Orange-golden. Light mousse. bruised apples, oxidative note. creamy smooth. A pleasure to drink and wonderful introduction to the character of aged Champagne.

NOTK Bring Your Own Bottle dinner (NOTK, Rotterdam): Not a fair comparison, next to the Ulysse Colin, but still very good. Much richer and fuller in style. Medium+ intensity on the nose with ripe apple, oxidative notes, stone fruit, hint of caramel. High acidity, medium finish. 92-93
1/3 from a solera started in 1990. The other 2/3 is from an older “Esprit Nature” solera dating to the 1950s. For the first perpetual reserve, the most recent contribution to the older solera was the 2019 vintage, hence the numeric ID “90-19” to represent the time stamp. 80% Pinot Noir, 20% Chardonnay

Tasted this at Pivene for a causal wine sample tasting event.
Very fresh on the nose and palate. Unripe green apples with a slight tinge of vanilla. Very dry finish. Touch of minerality towards the end. Good finesse and well-crafted.

Quite delicious. A bit austere upon opening like with a lot of soleras. Takes about 1-1.5hrs for it for the fruit to start showing.
