  • This is the last of the case, finally. What started off as an outstanding value, and turned to the dark side over the course of the last several years. Nose of Chilean barnyard funk, meadow muffins and the like, along w/earth and some kind of distorted cherry profile. A full bodied wine,
w/a merlot like softness and lengthy finish. I held onto this forgotten case, way too long, what had been an enjoyable, quality cab in its youth, could not hold the original flavor profile over the last 2-3 years.

  • 2nd to last bottle of the case purchased three years ago. The last 3 bottles have been corked, so surprised when this wine was popped and poured. Nose of earth/Chilean funk and mocha. Full bodied w/a smooth and lenghty finish...I'm betting the last bottle is skunked, but hoping I'm wrong. Several years ago this was a great QPR, and Wine Enthusiast rated this at 91. Sadly, those days are long gone, still drinking well for one last hurrah.

  • This wine has turned to the dark side. Skunked, too bad..it was a steal/price point several years ago for the quality.

  • Really nice bottle of inexpensive cab. Drank w/neighbors along w/BBQ chicken/apple sausages, and sauted potatoes w/rosemary and butter. Drinks like a more expensive wine, outstanding value.

  • Here's another bottle out of the case purchased last year...wine was rated 91 pts by Wine Enthusiast. Nose of Chilean funk, sweet, ripe berries, on the first day, not real appealing. If you can get past the nose, the wine is full bodied, w/cherry, black current, cedar and a chewy mouthfeel. Very good for a $10 bottle! At the price I purchased the case for, $24 at a grocery outlet, a steal. Day two, the nose had cleared up, the funk had dissipated, and the wine tasted wonderful. Fully open with soft, delicate tannins and a lingering finish. This has to be the deal of the year.
