  dark ruby/garnet colour and medium body. complex nose with notes of spice, ash, and garrigue along the black- and blueberry fruit aromas. beautiful expression of fruit greets the mouth as layers of dark berries unfold gently, laced with flecks of salt, herbs and pepper. good acidic lift, firm but polished tannins and remarkable persistence round out the experience.
  
  excellent expression of cool-weather Syrah that is drinking well now and should easily see the decade out.
  
  13.7% AbV; 40% whole-cluster inclusion; aged in 15+ y.o. barrels for 7-8 months.

  At downtown tasting room. No detailed notes, but suffice to say in line with prior vintages, a bit more tannic structure, great transparency of fruit and earthy tones.
